This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It is maintained by EquityOS.

1. Data we collect

Account: email, authentication identifiers, profile fields you provide.
Usage: pages viewed, features used, watchlist items, search terms.
Device: IP, browser, OS, coarse location, timestamps.
Billing: subscription status, plan, and Stripe customer identifiers. Card data is handled by Stripe and never stored on our servers.

2. How we use it

Deliver and secure the service.
Personalize your feed, watchlist, and AI briefs.
Process payments and manage subscriptions.
Communicate operational updates and product news you opt into.

3. Sharing

We share data with vetted subprocessors only for the purposes above:

Supabase — authentication, database, storage.
Stripe — payments and subscription billing.
OpenAI / Anthropic (via our AI gateway) — AI features.
Analytics and error monitoring providers we may use to improve reliability.

We do not sell your personal data.

4. Retention

We retain account data while your account is active and for a limited period after closure to satisfy legal, tax, and audit obligations. You can request deletion at any time.

5. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your data, and to object to certain processing. Email privacy@equityos.dev to exercise these rights.

6. Security

We use TLS in transit, encrypted storage at rest, row-level security in our database, and least-privilege access controls. No system is perfectly secure — please choose a strong password and enable multi-factor authentication when available.

7. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication and preferences, and limited analytics cookies to understand usage.

8. Children

EquityOS is not directed at children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

9. Changes

We will notify you of material changes in-app or by email.
